Jim Burleigh
Chief Executive Officer
Jim Burleigh brings more than 19 years of software experience to SmartTurn supported by a record of achievement as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) strategist, entrepreneur and architect of innovative supply chain solutions. His broad marketing and business perspective helped identify the need for a smart, simple and safe way to manage inventory and warehousing in an on-demand, green approach.
Previously as Sr. VP of Marketing and Corporate Development at Navis, a leader in the supply chain execution industry, he was responsible for Navis' overall marketing and product management, as well as business development, acquisitions and development, marketing and sales of new ventures. He also managed Navis' Distribution Center solutions, and initiated the founding of SmartTurn as a Navis subsidiary in 2004.
Jim's background includes sales, marketing and technical experience at salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), Remedy, BayStone Software and Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL). Most recently, Jim comes from salesforce.com, the most successful on demand service to date where he was the #6 employee, and served as Vice President Business Development, then Vice President Marketing and Product Management.
Jim earned a BS degree in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology (CalTech).

Miguel Pinilla
Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Engineering
Dr. Miguel Pinilla brings over 20 years of experience in the development of mission critical on premise and on demand systems, as well as deep knowledge of supply chain dynamics. Miguel is responsible for leading the technology development and innovation efforts of the company's on demand inventory and warehousing applications. He is also responsible for SmartTurn's unique approach to real-time visibility across multiple warehouses and locations.
Most recently at Navis, a global leader in logistics systems, he was Senior Director of Engineering for Marine Systems. Previously he was Vice President, Engineering for Informative/Satmetrix, providing on demand market intelligence tools to Fortune 1000 companies. He also led the development of Operations and Maintenance Software for the Alcatel/Lucent broadband switches in Europe.
Originally from Spain, he obtained a Senior Engineer Degree in Industrial engineering from ICAI, and an Executive Education degree in business administration from IESE . He came to the US as a Fulbright scholar for graduate studies obtaining a Masters in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD from Stanford University in Manufacturing Information Systems. Miguel holds several patents and has published multiple technical papers.

Richard Yim
Vice President, Products and Marketing
Richard Yim is a 19 year software and supply chain industry veteran who oversees the teams that manage SmartTurn's innovative product portfolio and go-to-market strategies. Richard leads design, creation and improvement of SmartTurn's solutions, as well as SmartTurn's marketing and services organizations.
Prior to joining SmartTurn in 2007, Richard was VP Solution Marketing at SAP where he led product marketing for SAP's platform and ecosystem efforts including market defining efforts like SAP's Industry Value Networks and "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" across 28 industries. Previously, Richard was VP/ GM Americas for Hutchison Whampoa's 4PL services and SRM systems for China manufacturing. In 2000 he was instrumental in creating the first SCEM platform at Electron Economy for clients like Playstation.com. Before that, Richard was Sr. Director, Product Marketing at Oracle responsible for the database on Windows and Linux, and the Database Appliance.
Earlier, as Group Product Manager at Symantec, he created some of the most popular and user friendly consumer and SMB products including Norton Utilities and Antivirus. Early in his career, he developed warehousing and distribution systems for clients like Sony and Volvo at Mitsui Soko and Ryder.
Richard Holds an MBA from Pepperdine University as a Ryder Scholar, and a double BS in Decision Sciences and Systems and Operations Management from Indiana University's school of business.

Mike Pyle
Vice President, Sales
Mike is responsible for leadership of SmartTurn's worldwide sales teams. His efforts help SmartTurn customers, often in a transformational phase of their growth, move from legacy and paper based systems to an automated, on-demand software model that allows them to take the next step in their evolution.
Mike's personable, value based approach ensures that SmartTurn's sales teams employ a "Discover-Plan-Configure-Run" adoption process which allows customers to explore their needs and often reach their goals at a much lower price point than was previously possible.
Prior to SmartTurn, Mike spent 8 years with the Online Division (previously Expertcity) of top-5 global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, Citrix Systems, Inc.—makers of GoToMyPC & GoToMeeting. While at Citrix he held numerous senior sales leadership roles, delivering easy to use, low cost, category defining products to both the SME and Enterprise markets. During his tenure Mike helped Citrix Online grow from an early stage start-up to over $225 million in annual revenue.
Mike holds an AB in Economics from Stanford University where he was a member of the 2-time NCAA Champion water polo team.
