Hello, my name is Kenny Gravitt. I’m one of the managing members here of Global Environmental Services. We are an e-recycling, data destruction company in Georgetown, Kentucky. We want to talk a bit today about SmartTurn, our management system and the ins-and-outs and particulars of how we manage our parts flow through our business.

We needed a system to do 2 things; deliver new customers and expand our client base, which SmartTurn has helped us do in a tremendous way, and we also had to have something that was cost effective and kept our costs to a minimum, where once again SmartTurn has exceeded our expectations.

Product flow was the main generator for us to do this discovery. We found ourselves migrating away from just recycling product to actually doing recovery and selling product, and getting product back out to the market. So, the answer is product flow and report generation is what motivated us to seek out a company such as SmartTurn.

After several months on the white board trying to figure this out and to understand what we were after, the three main differentiators that came to mind for us were:

Integration - We had to be able to integrate this into our processes and procedures, seamlessly, and it has to be done smoothly.
Customer Support – That is an absolute given. We work with several large OEM accounts and getting data back to these customers in a timely manner is more important to them than actually the physical work being done.
Flexibility – That was another key driver in this decision.

SmartTurn has become not only a management tool for us to track our parts, our incoming our outbound freight, purchase orders, sales orders, all of that. SmartTurn has become a sales tool for Global Environmental Services. When we bring in our OEM clients and we’re giving them our sales pitch of what we do and how we do it, and when they go over to the data office and we let them visualize SmartTurn and see how it works, its very impressive. Then when we expound on customer service, and this top shelf that SmartTurn runs its operation on, it breeds a lot of confidence in Global Environmental Services.
