Browser Specification

SmartTurn is optimized for Internet Explorer 7.0, but also supports Internet Explorer 6.0. Additionally, SmartTurn supports Internet Explorer 8.0 and Firefox 3 in a "beta" form.

To verify that you are using a supported desktop browser:

Open your browser. In the toolbar under Help, select the item that starts with "About..."
A window pops up. Verify the version number and click OK.
If you do not have a supported web browser:
- For Internet Explorer, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx. Follow the instructions on this site to Internet Explorer. Note that the latest version of Internet Explorer is Internet Explorer 8.0. However, SmartTurn only supports Internet Explorer 8 in "beta" form.
- For Firefox, go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox. Follow the instructions on this site to download Firefox. Note that the latest version of Firefox is Firefox 3.5. However, SmartTurn only supports Firefox 3, in a "beta" form, at this time.

Important: SmartTurn currently supports Internet Explorer 8.0 and Firefox 3 in a "beta" form, meaning that there may be some minor alignment issues or differences in how SmartTurn looks. If you have any concerns about using SmartTurn with these browser versions, please contact your SmartTurn representative.

If you are using SmartTurn with a mobile (handheld) unit, confirm it is enabled with Windows CE 6.0 or Windows Mobile 6.0, or that it runs the Wavelink Industrial Browser (Telnet CE version 7). More info...
