Browser Specification

SmartTurn is optimized for Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0.

Additionally, SmartTurn supports Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 9.0 in "beta" form. This means that preliminary validations have been completed and no significant issues have been found. However, minor layout or formatting inconsistencies may still occur. If you have any concerns about using SmartTurn with these browser versions, please contact your SmartTurn representative.

Note: At this time SmartTurn recommends that you use Internet Explorer 9.0 if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7.

To verify that you are using a supported desktop browser:

Open your browser. In the toolbar under Help, select the item that starts with "About..."
A window pops up. Verify the version number and click OK.
If you do not have a supported web browser:
- For Internet Explorer, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx. Follow the instructions on this site to download Internet Explorer.
- For Firefox, go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox. Follow the instructions on this site to download Firefox. However, SmartTurn only supports Firefox 3, in a "beta" form, at this time.

If you are using SmartTurn with a mobile (handheld) unit, confirm it is enabled with Windows CE 6.0 or Windows Mobile 6.0, or that it runs the Wavelink Industrial Browser (Telnet CE version 7). More info...
