Open two SmartTurn Windows at a time

If you work best with two SmartTurn screens open at a time, there is an important precaution to take when opening the second screen. This is important because some ways of opening second screens will result in an application exception--in other words, a "crash" of the application.

To safely work in SmartTurn with two screens open:

Open a new session of Internet Explorer from the bottom toolbar of your operating system.

Avoid opening a new screen in SmartTurn with Ctrl-N or by going to the top toolbar and selecting File>New.

Open two SmartTurn windows at the same time

Additionally, if you are using Internet Explorer 8, you must force your browser to open a new session.

To force your browser to open a new session:

Right-click the Internet Explorer shortcut.
Select Properties.
The Target should be of the form:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
Change the Target to:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplor.exe" -nomerge
Click OK to close the Properties pop-up.
