Default roles

SmartTurn has a set of default roles that reflect a generic logistics operation. You can use these 'out-of-the-box' roles as they are, or create customized roles that better fit your own operation.

Roles fall into two groups: Internal (employees of your company) and external (business affiliates of your company). The default roles take into consideration legitimate interests each role might have in the information flowing from the supply chain, while isolating key processes and data on a need-to-know basis. In this way, SmartTurn provides a template from which to begin. However, as with any security considerations, you will need to carefully review the permissions assigned to each default role and determine how well they fit for your company before you begin assigning roles to users.
