Activating, deactivating, or reverting custom pages
If you modify an existing page to create a Custom page, you always have the option of having those modifications Active or Inactive, or to throw away the modifications entirely by reverting back to the original standard screen.
When you customize a page, SmartTurn automatically makes the customizations "Active" when you save your changes. When you "Deactivate" a custom page in the "Active" status, you are only deactivating the customizations; you are not deactivating the page. Additionally, when you "Deactivate" a custom page, SmartTurn saves a copy of the customized page so you can always reactivate those customizations at a later time. This is different from reverting a custom page, in which SmartTurn erases all memory of former customization of that page. If you want to customize the page again after reverting, you must re-configure the customizations for that page.
To deactivate a custom page:
- From Administration>Custom Pages, highlight the page with the customizations you want to deactivate.
You can only Deactivate pages that show as Active in the Status column.
- Select
Deactivate in the toolbar above. The list refreshes with the Status column value for that page as Inactive. Your customizations to this page are kept on file. You can come back any time and reactivate the customizations without having to edit the page again.
To activate an inactive custom page:
- From Administration>Custom Pages, highlight the page with the customizations you want to activate.
You can only Activate pages that show as Inactive in the Status column.
- Select
Activate in the toolbar above. The list refreshes with the Status column value for that page as Active.
To revert a customized page back to the standard screen:
- From Administration>Custom Pages, highlight the customized page you want to revert.
You can only Revert pages that show as Active or Inactive in the Status column.
- Select
Revert in the toolbar above. The list refreshes with the Customized column value for that page as false, and the Status column value for that page as Not Customized. In order to customize this page again, you will need to Edit the page again by re-adding any fields and re-arranging any columns you want to see differently.
